STORY:
S.ALT reminds us to explore new paths and cross boundaries to discover the unknown. In 2018, we took a bold step and created a wine that shows Solaris at full potential – profound, complex, and distinct. A wine that captures our terroir unfiltered and highlights the unique tension of PIWI varieties.

Also excellent on its own – mindfully and with focus. Pairs beautifully with rich, buttery dishes like sautéed porcini mushrooms, veal loin, or creamy risotto.

SITE & SOIL:
Eppan Berg, near the Ice Holes. Hof Gandberg, 520 m a.s.l. Loamy, calcareous, deep soil with a high content of white dolomite rock.
HARVEST & VINIFICATION:
Carefully handpicked on 26 August 2019. Three days of maceration, then gently pressed. Spontaneous fermentation by native vineyard yeasts. Fermented and aged in a neutral 1000 L wooden barrel. After 21 months, transferred to stainless steel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered in May 2022. Further bottle aging followed.
